All up in the RDU.
Made it to North Carolina alright. I'm holed up at some Doubletree in Durham where my employer is paying the low low price of $10/day for WIRED internet access. WTFF? Seriously.
I protest on principle, though, because I remembered to bring an ethernet cable this time. And my employer is paying for it. I guess that's what the Doubletree is banking on. Also, this room is huge. It's a suite. And I have it for one more night than I thought I did, so I only have to pay for two nights of hotel while I'm in town. Yay!
Tiffany, I'll be in touch shortly.
I feel like I've packed unusually lightly. I went ahead and packed one bag for both NC and MI, incase something gets jacked up about my trip back to Minneapolis and I don't have time to swap out bags. Not really a chance I'm missing anything important. And it's kind of a relief to not have so much to carry. But still. It's weird. If I get back to MSP on time on Saturday, I'll have a couple hours before I have to be back to the airport, so I'll dump my work-related electronicals.
Just ordered room service. Shrimp Cobb salad and a glass of Chardonnay.30-45 minutes they say. Should have called an hour ago. I'm starving.
I was all prepared to bust out a few work items tonight, but I'd rather surf the web and watch the Pistons or my bittorrented tv I'm behind on. Damn.

yummy. i lurve a nice hotel, especially when the boss/client is paying. so decadent. i read something years ago that said women are actually the messiest hotel guests, something about how we're usually/generally responsible for home and hearth and hotels are our time to rip up some ish. so have at, and don't click on the "buy" option while cruising the "adult" offerings. i'm just saying....

I believe it. I don't think I'm that messy, though. Or at least I won't do that much damage in just a few days. If it were more like a week, that would be different. As anyone who's ever seen my apartment can attest.
Considering it's now 10:40 pm, I should probably unpack my bag and see if I have something that's not wrinkly to wear tomorrow.
And people complain about FREE internet services. Mind if I show them your post? ;P
Have fun!!!
