All I have to say about the Oscars is...
Yay, Jennifer Hudson! Take that, Simon.
The Dreamgirls cast performance was the best of the night. The dance troupe backlit behind the big screen was pretty cool. Ellen was sort of funny in her Ellen way. Yay, Hellen Mirren. Now I'll have to go see The Queen. Okay, maybe rent it eventually.
Other than that, kinda boring.

I whole-heartedly agree re: Jennifer. I missed the Oscars due to soccer, so I am sorry I didn't get to see her acceptance speech.
She must be on top of the world!
i love her! i am so glad she won!!
Okay, good on her and all that, but here's the thing... That whole "See what god can do?" part of her acceptance speech really bugged me. The missus quipped "well, I guess god must hate little 12 year old girls then!"
I'm just so over the whole thanking god thing. Seriously - if you are into your faith, that's cool, but god did not give you a friggin' Oscar!
I'm with MJ on the whole god thing. It's really fucking annoying. I doubt god would concern him/herself with giving you gold statue at a billion-dollar event that is nothing more than an overpaid industry patting itself on the back, while he lets innocent kids around the world suffer from disease and starve to death.
Yeah, god really had somethng to do the oscars...
Amen! Er, you know what I mean.
They were so boring.
Ellen was OK, but even she didn't liven the place up enough.
And someone really needs to let everyone know that God does not care that you won. In fact, being sucessful in Hollywood, you've probably sold your soul to the devil -- you may not know it, but it's true. I agree with everyone else on that.
