Via Tony, I was paging through the comments on a Deadspin post on the Tigers, and found this:
That picture is actually of people cheering on Claude Lemieux being torn apart by a mountain lion.
Bwaha! Bwahaha!
By way of explanation, it was Claude Lemieux, playing for the Colorado Avalanche, who checked Kris Draper face first into the boards during the 1996 Western Conference Finals. Drapes had to have his face reconstructed.
As Detroit sports grudges go, this ranks up there with Karl Malone ripping Isaiah Thomas's tear duct.
