Night Rider

When I encounter other folks on bikes at night, they seem awfully friendly. I think it's that same mentality as people who are out running in the rain. That "if you're out and about in this, you must be crazy like me" kind of thing.

The problem with biking is that, while I get a good leg workout, I can never get my wind up the way I do when I run. So I'm not sure that the extra biking is making up for the running I'm not getting in. I can't seem to get enough of either in during the week, and then it gets to be the weekend and I want to run and bike all day long (when I'm not laid out on the couch watching football).

The next item on my list is gloves (with fingers). For running and for biking. The fingerless gloves I have with the mitten flap are too heavy, so my palms get all sweaty, but my fingertips still freeze. And I want a bag of sorts for my bike, so I don't have to stuff stuff in my pockets. And I need to decide on a pair of bottoms. I've got a pair of lined wind pants, but they always seem to be either too hot or too cold. Although I bet I'd be good if I threw on my running tights underneath.

Must do some research. Figuring out how to dress for biking is harder than dressing for running. I know I'm not going to bike at all in the rain or very much in the snow, so I really just need to figure out how to combat the cold.
