Synchronicity
'Kay, I answer the RPM questions, and then I flip over to Sherri's post, because I always read all her answers to the questions everyone asks her. And I see her say this in the comments:
Sometimes I just get stressed out about something(s) and the last thing I want to do is engage other people. I tend to work through stuff either by bitching endlessly about it (which anyone who reads this site knows all too well) or by just keeping my trap shut and being a loner until I feel better. And when I'm in loner mode, I'm *really* in loner mode.
Emphasis mine and oh my god, get outta my head! That is me exactly.
What do you do when you're stressed out?

Internalize until I either A) figure it out or B) explode.
I'd say that's a strategy I can do without. I'm trying to get better. It's slow going.
Either internalize, which, who am I kidding, I always do, and seek complete loner mode until it passes, usually spending many the hour in the gym or pounding the pavement until the irritation is solved or eat golden gramhams. Usually a combo job.
I bake, cry, and turn into a total bitch until whatever it is is over.
lmao. in my early 30's i'm getting better. i internalize but i'm better about shrugging stuff off. if it is really stressful i'll generally hash the hell out of it with my Mom. otherwise i prefer to process stuff on my own. good question.
So... none of us handles stress well?
I tend to bitch a lot and take my stress out on the wrong people.
It depends on what I'm thinking about. Mostly, I turn very quiet & want to be alone. Being married, that can't really happen for too long, so I tend to talk it out.
