Good, Bad, Ugly, Etc.
The Good:
- The weather today is gorgeous. 75° and sunny.
- Pride was this weekend. I saw the woman that sold me my Saturn driving in the Parade. (She's not gay, but it's cool that Saturn has such a presence and it's cool that she was there.) The Pride Parade was good.
- Work is still going well.
The Bad:
- The L-y-n-x lost a game they really should have won yesterday.
- Our internet at home has been intermittent at best since last weekend's thunderstorms and power outage. Some guy came out to look at it on Friday and declared it fixed, but I haven't been able to get on for more than a minute at a time since Friday afternoon. NO INTERNET IS NOT OKAY.
The Ugly:
- My car. My new car that I bought two weeks ago. Got SCRATCHAFRICKIN' REAR-ENDED on Friday afternoon. My bumper is scratched and dented. The other guy jacked up the front of his rental car. I don't know if going through the rental company is going to make it easier or harder. I'm fine, by the way. But I can't help but think had I been driving the Jeep, he would have hit the hitch and probably still jacked up his front end, but I would have come through unscathed. (I've been rear-ended in the Jeep a few times. Never any damage.)
Etc.
- I think I want a new digital camera.
- My mom sent me a guilting and shaming email imploring me to call my grandmother because she's dying to know how I'm doing, which I did (even though grandma never calls me). I hope Grandma feels better for my having called, because I don't. Meh.

Dang! I'm sorry to hear your car has been scratched and dented. Hopefully you'll be able to get it repaired in a very timely manner.
I just bought myself a new digital camera. I got the Canon Powershot S3 IS. I've had it less than a week, and I'm just loving it.
Your Mom sounds like mine. I'm sure it did your Grandmother good to have heard your voice.

mel: I have no idea what kind of camera I want. I'm fairly sure I can get one that's better and smaller than the one I have for about $200. I might spend a little more than that. Even though I really don't need one.
laura: Way to represent! Marching in the parade, whatnot. I was all, "I know her!" to no one in particular.
Jeez, no Internet, the computer's dying and now that sweet new car getting a boo-boo? Kee-rist. You deserve a new camera. :) I spent way too much on my Nikon 8 megapixel (i.e., it cost as much as the car payment. Whoops. Now where am i going to get money to pay the car? Heh) but it's easy as hell to use. The Nikon 6.2 megapixel is on sale at Best Buy for $200, but unless you want to deal with buying new AA batteries every 40 pictures you take, spend the extra coupla bucks on a model with an NiMH battery.
irk! que horror chica! glad you are okay and you seem to be taking it all in stride. As for the camera...get thee to a best buy and pick up the nikon coolpix 6, slim, sexy and sharp as nails imaging.
