Reader Poll Monday
Thank you, Sherri, for saving me from a totally content-less day.
1. When is the last time you had a papercut? Last week. Although, technically, it's more of a foil cut.
2. Would you rather have a 5 pound tumor on your face or a 50 pound tumor on your back, neither of which could ever be removed? *shriek* On my back, I guess. I could not look at that in the mirror every day.
3. What was the best part of your weekend? I did several enjoyable things this weekend, but frankly, I had the most fun grocery shopping with Fly Girl.
4. Do you like peanut butter? Only when mixed with chocolate. Especially in Reese's Miniatures.
5. List three foods you can't stand. Hot peppers of any variety, olives, and anchovies. It's a total coincidence that those are all pizza toppings.
6. Did you make your bed this morning? Yes. I never ever used to make my bed, but FG has gotten me in the habit and I think I might actually keep the habit.
7. When it comes to handshakes, are you firm? Absolutely, yes.
8. What was the most effective punishment for you as a kid? I didn't get punished a whole lot, but I seem to remember having to go a week without television as being particularly difficult. I also distinctly remember hiding under my bed once trying to avoid a spanking.
9. What is your favorite way to fix/eat potatoes? Mashed, with some sort of cheese. White cheddar or gorgonzola.
10. Ask me something. Say I have $300 extra out of my first new and improved paycheck. What should I spend it on?

Being an old lady, my answer to #10 would be INVEST INVEST INVEST!
Although a better old lady answer would be "Give it to your grandchildren in the form of $12 birthday checks" or "Buy cat food".
Wimpy handshakes just piss me right off. So glad you didn't answer that one with a "no".
1. RE: prior post, is it even acceptable that a white dude is even an authority on "the perfect ass"...i think not....i digress.
2. $300...deposit $150 into a ROTH IRA, put the other $150 into your travel fund. my $.02
3. I have mostly been in the make up my bed habit for all my life as the daughter of an army brat and a dictatorial mother. A trick I got from REAL SIMPLE magazine, I only use a bottom sheet and my down comforter so I only need to fluff the pillows and shake the comforter. I wash the comforter cover every other week!
good reader poll monday!
Get a massage, buy yourself a Chipotle gift card and stock up on sangria supplies!
For the longest I slept with just a comforter. I stopped doing that when I switched to a down comforter with a cover, mostly because the cover wasn't all that soft. It's still not quite soft enough that I'd eschew the top sheet. I was thinking about switching to the non-down comforter for the summer, but half the reasoning for that was an excuse to buy a new comforter cover, which would then make it too scratchy to use by itself.
Ooh, sangria supplies. Capital idea! And I've still not ever had a massage....
Mmmmmm, Sangrias! I need to dig out that recipe!
you've never had a massage?! Hark, fast get thee to a MT and enjoy the treat of a lifetime! But, be warned they can be addictive. I change my answer $150 Roth IRA, $70 Massage $80 travel fund!
Here's a little secret: if your health insurance covers chiropractor visits, then find one with a MT on hand and go there. I used to go every week even after my shoulder problems were fixed just for the 25 minute back massage, half of the time I wouldn't even get the adjustment, just the massage and it was covered by insurance (there was supposed to be a $10 co-pay per visit, but chiro always waived it).
