Almost had an apartment, but not quite.

My application for Option #3 was accepted. I had an appointment for this morning to sign the rental agreement and put down the deposit.

Except that some things have changed in the last 30 or so hours. So I'm not taking that apartment and I am back to searching with different criteria.

Tomorrow will be spent making a whole new stack of index cards and making a whole new slew of phone calls. I'm hoping the owners of Option #3 have something else that meets my new criteria, because I think they'd be great to rent from.

I'm not too worried about finding an available place for Dec 1, but it does stress me out that it's Nov 11 already.

I'll tell y'all what happened, but I'm not quite ready to go public with it yet. All in due time. In the mean time, I'd appreciate some happy apartment searching vibes.

~~Good Happy Apartment Hunting Vibes~~ Sounds like you're through with having roommates and want to fly solo? I've always found that to be the hardest option. I hate living along and probably would withdraw into a black hole if I ever did so again, but I can see how it would be the whole roommate crap.

I had this conversation with one of my roommates. It's just a temperament thing. That's how she feels, too. I happen to feel the opposite way. I'm kind of a loner and I really value my alone time.

Well, we're in all in suspense here. In the meantime, we're sending you good karma.
