Unexpected Periods

I suppose it could be worse. I could be expecting a period and not get it.

Minor details of the female variety below. Gentlemen, feel free to skip ahead.

The doctor said I could expect some spotting after my PAP, but that was five days ago. I've been wondering if what I was seeing was just a result of several recent, vigorous, extracurricular activities (don't ask). But then today I got the usual lower back pain and everything appears to be flowing according to the usual pattern. Weird.

It's not like I've radically changed my diet or exercise habits lately. In fact, I'm surprised I didn't see a change a few months ago when I really stepped up the running. I've had it jump around by a week after a year or two of being perfectly regular before, so I suppose this could be another one of those times.

The first thing I thought was that if it's going to move up by a week, then I should get it again before the Ten Miler (whew). Instead of, you know, during. How much would it suck to wake up the morning of the race and discover... you know. Ugh. Hopefully that won't be the case.

In case everyone wanted to know.

yeah, that was my little surprise two days before the 60-mile walk I did this summer. THANKS! because that makes the walk SO much fun. :)
