Fat Tuesday
One of the (few) things I miss about living in Michigan: Paczki Day!
I tried once a few years ago to get some paczki from the one Polish bakery in town that I could find (Kramarczuk's) and it was a pathetic experience. It was hard enough to find out about that place because everyone at work I asked about it had no idea what I was talking about. And then I get there and there are no lines before dawn.
I guess I'll have to celebrate by having Mardi Gras in my pants.

Paczkis and Mardi Gras in the pants are not mutually exclusive.
The way I phrased that, it sounds like the paczkis are in the pants.
Which they may well be.
Damn, I miss those little buggers. We used to just get them at Meijer where they were plentiful at all times. Which probably killed a bit of the novelty. But eh. Instead, we had the most yummiest storebought cake I've had this side of Kalamazoo (okay, so I had good cake on both sides of the Kalamazoo in Michigan, but whatever). Who knew that the suckitude of SuperFresh could make yummilicious cake? Mmm...
