Giddy
So... I had a date yesterday.
*squeeeeaaaaal*
She's a friend of a friend. I guess she's been sitting on my phone number (and picture...) for a few months. My friend who introduced us asked me at my Halloween party if I had heard from her and I said I hadn't so she must have given her a little kick in the pants.
We played a little phone tag and I finally caught up with her on Sunday night. Okay, more like she called me a week ago and I procrastinated and got nervous and just called her back on Sunday. Got the voicemail and left a message. She called back later on Sunday and we had a not entirely awkward get-to-know-you sort of chit chat and agreed to lunch on Tuesday.
We went to a Neapolitan pizza place that is right by my house — Punch on Lake St — that I'd wondered about but never been to. I'm totally going there more often. Yum.
And it was good. She's cool. She's cute. She's got an interesting story. Great laugh. No awkward pauses. We decided we ought to do it again sometime. I told her I'd call.
