I'm Not Ready for WNBA Basketball
After all that Olympic deliciousness. I want Team USA back!
On a semi-related note, it's not a big surprise that the WNBA is full of lesbian players, but surprisingly few are publicly out. Part of me is relieved to know that players I know and like are family, but part of me wishes they'd be more... out. But then part of me knows that's not necessarily good marketing and the league is still trying to figure out how to market their teams and players to straight folks in general and men in particular. Plus it's all about keeping your personal life personal, too.
I did a little snooping research. In light of that privacy thing, I'm not inclined to name names because it feels kind of dirty (even though anyone could find out if they wanted to). Most of y'all never know who I'm talking about anyway. I'm sure those that do (so probably just Jen) already know what I know.
I don't have a point, really.

Well, I don't know for sure if I know what you know. I mean, sure, I have my suspicions, but confirmation? As far as I know, only the Lynx's Michele Van Gorp and former NY Liberty Sue Wicks are officially "out." Which, as you say, makes me a little sad, because you know damn well there are more than two.
Does this have something to do with Diana Taurasi?
Unfortunately, no.
Anyone who can't market a team of hot lesbians to straight men just shouldn't be in marketing. Don't thwap me, I'm just sayin'.
BOL Dave!
How hot they all are is debatable, though. Some of them are cute. But some of them have that unfortunate "I'm an abnormally tall person" look to them. You know what I mean?
Completely unrelated to anything: Irk, send me your new address please. :)
From what I've seen so far, the majority of the lesbians in the league are definitely not hot. If we're going strictly on looks and butch stereotypes, it's pretty easy to pick folks out.
But the ones that are hot, are SO HOT. And some that are borderline are hotter now that I know they're family.
Testing...
