Y'all are so sweet!

Thanks so much for all the birthday wishes! I am so glad to see 26. Not officially "late twenties" yet, but over the hump. 25 was arguably the shittiest year of my life. I'm glad to see it go. So long. Sayonara. Hasta la vista. Suck it.

I haven't officially celebrated here yet.

Thursday I had lunch with a(nother) friend from high school whom I haven't seen in about five years, then dinner and drinks later with her and her friends. That was an interesting day. I may elaborate later.

Anyway, I had lots to drink and not enough to eat and so a bit of recovery was required Friday morning. Then I hopped aboard a couple different trains and made my way down to San Jose where The Boyz (and an assortment of family members, unexpectedly...) are hanging out.

I sat through a game of cribbage (what is the point of this game?). We hit Santana Row for window shopping and happy hour, stopped at the liquor store, then swung by the airport to pick up yet another family member. By that point I had a headache, so when we got back to the house Bruce and I laid down for a nap and just didn't get up again.

I guess there were supposed to be birthday dinner plans, but nothing was really set in stone, it was getting late, and I'm glad I got some rest instead. Bruce and I got up and took a nice walk this morning. I'm having Chinese takeout leftovers and Ace Pear Cider for breakfast.

There's a big yellow and red cooler full of sangria on the counter. It's May already. The weather is gorgeous. I don't have to go back to Minnesota that wretched job for three more days. Aaaahhhhhh.

25-28 worst years of my life. well, actually, my 20s sucked booty ass.

when u find out about cribbage would you let me know? i had a cribbage game/board when i was little. it just was stupid.

man, i was talking about sangria all last week. that's it i'm spending money i shouldn't on some wine so i can make some sangria.

you seem to be having a great time. i hope everything works out the way you want.

the purpose of cribbage is to talk trash to your friends and family. Much like hearts and spades (my personal favorite).

Hillary routinely stomps me at cribbage.

Happy belated berfday! And congrats again on the new venture. Okay, now, I'm dying to know -- who's the high school friend that got you drunk? Don't tell me you ran into Kyle Anderson!

Aw crap. I hate being late. See what happens when you become a blogger, you get all involved with fighting off trolls and manners take a back seat.

Happy belated Birthday!!!
