My weekend was shweet!
Friday night was the Nields concert. Katryna and Nerissa are so cute! I could eat them up with a spoon. Looks like they're still playing pretty small venues so it should be easy enough to catch them on their next swing through the Twin Cities.
Saturday was Bockfest at Capital Brewery. They toss fish full of prizes into the crowd and everyone stands around in hats and mittens drinking beer. Very Wisconsin. The Blonde Dopplebock was strictly rationed, and I can see why as it's extra strong (brewed with vodka, I think...?) and would have totally knocked me on my ass if I hadn't slowed down halfway through the first mug. After all day at Capital and dinner out we were too wiped to do much else so we hung out around the house with the best of intentions and the worst of follow through.
Sunday we watched a little tv (including last week's Survivor *whew*) and shopped for snacks for the Oscar party. I refused to just pick Lord of the Rings for everything, so I didn't do very well. I was glad Sofia Coppola won something, even though I didn't particularly like Lost in Translation. Uma Thurman had the worst dress of the night. Angelina was ridiculously hot as usual.
And today I drove back home. Whee!

Ahem. Someone isn't mentioning her adventures with her cell phone. ;-)
we *heart* the nields. they're playing this friday right by us, and we're hoping to catch them (possibly having family come in that night). we'll see!
So what kind of music do the Nields play? And how is it that everyone has heard about them except me? I guess I don't go to a musically progressive enough college. :P
yeah, angelina IS always hot. i'm just glad that the "billy bob" tatty is long gone. ugh.
