Behind The Scenes Here At Swirlspice Dot Com
I have changed my primary browser to Camino (the Mac-specific version of Mozilla Firebird). Safari got screwy on me. It was a little crashy. It would randomly stop loading sites. I'll miss that built-in Google search and the Snapback I was just learning to love. But who cares about those when the browser won't show me webpages?
I would have switched sooner but there wasn't a nice neat way to export bookmarks. I found Safari Bookmark Exporter and that took care of that.
I'm also playing around with Mozilla Thunderbird. Just to see. Mail is perfectly adequate, but adequate is no fun.
I used SpamStopper to encode my email address so that you can read it but spambots cannot.
I learned how to run my computer as a server (okay, it took one click to turn on web sharing) so I can play with webpages without sucking up my own bandwidth and without actually putting stuff out there on the web before it's done. Awesome awesome awesome.
And I've been taking more advantage of some of the nifty things my host offers. Namely hotlink protection (because of these folks) and redirects.

I love new toys! Enjoy.
That server sounds mighty sweet, I must look into that.
2 things:
1) Recently nightly builds of Camino can directly import bookmarks from Safari. Export to Safari bookmarks, too, if you so desire. Camino->Import Bookmarks.
2) Go to View->Customize Toolbar. Drag the "Search" bar onto your toolbar. Click "Done". Built in Google, Google Images, "Search this Site." You can check here for how to customize it to your heart's desire.
