Better Than A Vasectomy

This new male contraceptive sounds fascinating. There's an implant full of testosterone that gets replaced every four months and an injection of progestin that's administered every three months.

The study was pretty small, but reports 100% success and minimal side effects. Sounds promising. And if it's not as hard on a man's body as it is on a woman's, I can see it really taking off. Although I don't know many women who would completely trust men (with whom they don't have long-term relationships) to take it reliably. The study authors are anticipating a comfortable niche amongst long-term couples looking to prevent those accident babies.

Whoops.. my reply to the last part was no doubt.. except that it's an implant plus quarterly injections, so it might have to be administered by a dr. like with Depo and such.. but still.
