A Blogger's Work is Never Done
I just set up Refer. You can never have too many traffic tracking tools, I say. It needs some stylesheet adjustment.
I'm doing some other general maintenance, too. Need to make MT earn its keep. Link up all the templates and stylesheets and such. Clean up the crap dump on the sidebars. And don't even get me started on the plugins.
No, there's nothing else that I need to be doing.
Okay, that was scary. I attempted to install a few plugins (MTWeatherUnderground and MTAWStatsReferers). I dragged everything with a .pl into the /mt/plugins folder and everything with a .pm into the /mt/extlib/MTPlugins folder.
And then I couldn't get into my MT main menu or get Kung-Log to connect (it gave me something about an XML-RPC error). At first I thought Refer did something funky, but then I remember that I installed it last night this morning and it had worked fine and I had accessed all these things earlier today. So I dragged the weather and referer stuff back out and it's all back to normal.
I just put MTWeatherUnderground back in and I have yet to see if it works for me, but I still have access to everything. I think I'm gonna forgo the MTAWStats all together.
UPDATE: I keep getting an error message talking about the Weather::Underground Perl module is not installed properly. Except I have no idea why. I made a /mt/extlib/Weather directory and put Underground.pm in there. No good. I made a /mt/extlib/Weather/Underground directory and put Underground.pm in there. Still no good. There are some .pl files that came with the download but whenever I put them in anywhere I get the XML error I had before. Speh!

the website that the weather info is being pulled from is down anyway. And from what I saw it's been down since at least July. Speh!
I totally wanted a weather thingie for my portal. dammit to hell.
