Oh No No No No No

*NSYNC has done a cover of Leaving on a Jetplane. I’ve liked some of the other covers they’ve done (Just Got Paid, That’s The Way Love Goes), but this, this is horrendous. No cover of this song should begin with a voiceover of a simulated flight departure announcement. For the record, I’m partial to the Peter, Paul and Mary version.

    Ouch. I heard some horrific cover of “Boys of Summer” on the radio the other day, by some unknown sugary pop princess. It’s surely what they’re piping into hell these days… nearly made my ears bleed.

    It always happens… all the songs you put in your “should never be remade, EVER” file wind up having the worst possible remake done.

    I was flipping stations the other day, came across something that sounded like it could have been Big Yellow Taxi, listened for about 5 seconds, then flipped again. I’ll have to download and give it a good listen before I can give you anything concrete.
