White House green jobs advisor Van Jones, who has a deep history of grassroots organizing for social justice and environmental causes, resigned last week, bowing to the pressure of the frenzy whipped up by racist pundit Glenn Beck. Sadly, it appears Van Jones got little to no support from the White House which is too bad, because he was absolutely the right person for that job.
Considering he’s already resigned, I don’t know exactly what becoming a fan of Van Jones on facebook will do, but Color of Change (an organization he founded but is no longer affiliated with) has a petition calling on advertisers to drop their sponsorship of Glenn Beck’s FOX News show (a number of which already have).
