And I took care of emergency #2 by getting my DVD player out of storage (even though it’s hooked up to a crap 13″ tv right now). The ones I rented wouldn’t play on the PC, either, and I refuse to return them without watching them (as I’ve been saying every day now since then). I’m gonna try a non-Blockbuster DVD in my computer, because I refuse to believe that it just won’t work anymore.
