I scratcha-frickin hate it when folks call in the middle of a show I’m trying to watch. I mean, one well-meaning person is tolerable. Maybe even two if they’re spaced far enough apart. But multiple calls in rapid succession, especially when one person is innately intolerable, is unacceptable. I came down to the basement so I could watch Amazing Race without my mother’s constant chatter. As luck would have it, I’m sitting next to the only currently working phone in the house, so I get to answer it. Someone wants help with their homework. My annoying ass aunt calls, being annoying as usual. And she wants to carry on a damn conversation, trying to guilt trip me into seeing her kids. I’m gonna start calling her Hoss. She’s already got this Horse nickname (that she’s unaware of). But Hoss is more fun to say. I can’t wait to tell my sister. Fortunately, my mother taped Amazing Race, but now I have to watch it with her. I can’t win.
And why the hell is there a Law & Order episode based on Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love? Lame. I’d care more if I watched Law & Order to begin with.
And since when does a bank use techno music in their commercials? Actually I guess it’s more of a dance song than a techno song, don’t know all the rules on that. Flagstar Bank. Everybody’s Free by Rozalla. Weird.
There must be some crack in the water at Rochester High. First the seniors on their football team quit because their coach is a dickwad. Now, two days later, a kid’s getting expelled because he accidentally brought a knife to school (it was in his car, never left his car, he says he didn’t know it was in there, although I don’t know how word got out that he even had the knife if he didn’t even know it was there). I bet the folks at Rochester Adams are loving this. At least Rochester doesn’t have shit brown and harvest gold for their colors.
I just read somebody else’s blog, and now I feel like I have to make smart and insightful comments here. Oh well. Not gonna happen. In the rare event that I have such a comment, I’ll be sure to post it. And it’ll look real out of place.
