Scandal in the Mayor’s Office and Food Cravings

Okay, I’m tired of hearing about this memo supposedly (probably) sent from Kwame Kilpatrick (mayor of Detroit) to Jennifer Granholm (Democratic gubernatorial candidate). First of all, it’s so ridiculously lowdown that Dick Posthumous *snicker* (Republican gubernatorial candidate whom I would never vote for just on account of his name) jumped all over that with another smear commercial. Second of all, how does the fact that the memo was sent and immediately exposed before it could be acted upon reflect badly on Jennifer Granholm? It makes KK look like a big dumbass, but not JG. Can we just have Dennis Archer back?

I feel badly that I can’t vote. I could go back up to Minnesota and vote if I really wanted to, but I have no vested interest anymore. And I don’t really have one in Michigan, either. My transient ass. But I now realize what a luxury it is to have a third party option. Look at that Torricelli mess in New Jersey. The court there chose to ignore a law which was enacted for a really good reason and allow the Democrats to choose a new candidate, even though it was already past the deadline for which they should have been allowed to do so. But there was still a Green, Libertarian, and, like, two other candidates to choose from besides the Republican. Ugh.

On an unrelated note, I’m dying to try a fried turkey. They just said on the news that whoever it is that does the safety approving won’t be approving anybody’s turkey fryer. I’m willing to take the chance.

And while we’re talking about food, I’m so craving a Pumpkin Spice smoothie from Jamba Juice. The closest one is in Chicago. It’s only four hours away….
