An extensive discussion on what socks guys should wear with shorts. My opinion is as follows. IF sneakers, THEN white low-cut socks. IF sandals, THEN no socks. IF boots, THEN hiking-appropriate socks. IF boat/deck shoes, THEN no or unseen socks. And even though I detest the look, loafers with no socks are marginally okay with khaki shorts, but only as a last resort. Really, you shouldn’t be wearing leather non-boot shoes with shorts.
