Should I? UPDATE: Never mind.

I had talked myself out of a Presidents’ Day weekend getaway when I couldn’t find a reasonably priced last-minute package deal.

Stopped looking for a package deal and priced flights and accommodations separately. Flights to Tampa for $200. Flights to San Diego for $210. I don’t want to do anything but sit somewhere in the warmth.

I really feel like I ought to treat myself, but at the same time, SXSW is gonna be kinda spendy and I probably ought to save my money for that.

Trip Update: In the one day I decided to spend thinking about it, the flight prices jumped up just enough to make it not really feasible. I could go, but I’ll be stressing about the money and the point is stress relief. So I’ll just have to hang in there one more month until I go to Texas.

IRS Update: Called about the reporting discrepancy from 2004. Gotta get a new W-2 from work and send it in. In the mean time, can’t file this year’s yet because as long as their records show that I owe, they’ll collect from my refund. Which is fine.

No to be Ms. Rain on your Parade or anything, but I’d stick around town and save the money for SXSW, you already know it’s going to be expensive, yet worth the experience.
