Season 2 of The L Word starts in a couple weeks, and it’s already been picked up for a third season.

Showtime President Robert Greenblatt announced… that The L Word has been given a third season…. The third season of The L Word will include another 12 episodes, presumably to air sometime in 2006, although no date has been announced yet.

    Ya know, we just had an interesting discussion about “The L Word” in my women’s studies class yesterday. One of the militant lesbians said she was bothered by the “unrealistic” portray of lesbians on the show (basically that they were all way too femme). To that I simply responded, “Uh, since when has TV showed a realistic portrayal of ANYTHING?”

    Ohmigod! I just saw the last episode of season one, and I didn’t realize that it was the last episode, and I don’t have Showtime, and WHAT AM I GOING TO DO?! Ahhh!!

    I downloaded all the episodes and watched the entire first season on my computer. Probably what I’m gonna do for the second season, too.
