This is so huge.

The Lynx — still Brutus-less Katie Smith-less — just beat the Sparks. In L.A. By 12 points. Lisa Leslie fouled out with 8:26 to go in the game and had a flagrant foul. Damn, I wish I could’ve seen that.

In the grand scheme of the Western Conference standings it doesn’t mean a whole lot, but it’s a tremendous moral victory for Minnesota.

Too bad my Shock are so damn inconsistant. But they have a chance for the playoffs if they win Sunday (19th).

It was a beautiful game to watch — the whole team played great. They played like they had to win, but also like they were having fun. I hope they can keep this up Sunday against Sacto.

I still can’t get over how tight the Eastern Conference is. I feel bad for the Fever who were at the top of the conference a week or so ago, and now they’re two games back, and in last place. The Shock can’t be too excited about Swin Cash’s knee injury.

So many what-ifs, and five games on Sunday. I’m just excited I’ll actually get to see the Fever-Sun and Shock-Sting games on tv, except that I have to go to a scratchafrickin’ dinner party so I’ll miss half of the Shock-Sting game.

Sad to say I’m a Sparks fan, but I have despised Lisa Leslie since she and I were in high school (not the same school, but very close). Email me if you want the whole story.
