My interview date with the San Francisco company is Monday, May 3. This is good and bad.
It’s good because I had planned to be in the Bay Area on that day anyway. I’m going with some friends to San Jose, and we’d definitely be heading up to San Francisco to hang out and visit with other friends (the one who hooked me up at this company). And this way I don’t have to take any extra time off work. Not that I’d mind skipping work, but in the event this doesn’t work out, I don’t want to have blown all my vacation days.
But it’s bad because now my nice, relaxing vacation will be consumed by the interview. Even if it doesn’t take up much time, it’ll be on my mind. The admin assistant in charge of scheduling everything did say that he’d at least try and get me some accommodations. Which would be sweet if I could snag a hotel for us all to hang at in San Francisco. Especially if it has a hot tub. But I really wish they’d pick up my plane ticket. Normally they’d be paying for both, so I hope they’ll go ahead and do that.
And I have to wait three more weeks. I just want to get it over with!
I’m already in touch with the relocation people. Talk about getting my hopes up. I’ll have the move all planned and ready to go before I even get out there to do the interview.
