I’ve been in a bit of a funk lately, but I’m gonna put that post aside for a bit. I was the lucky recipient of a free Pumpkin Smash smoothie (!) at my friendly neighborhood Jamba Juice today on account of the computers being down, so I’m taking that to be a sign that some positive things will happen today. (Also tried their seasonal Peppermint Twist. It’s mostly strawberry, with a hint of mint. Not too bad.)
Okay, fine, I have one complaint to get out and then it’s back to being positive.
I worked last night with a guy who usually works the night shift opposite mine. I’ve only worked with him once before. Dude has no concept of personal space. At first I gave him the benefit of the doubt since he just seemed to be a jovial kind of guy. But he got touchier and feelier as the night went on. Like not letting my hand go after shaking it and coming up behind me and massaging my shoulders. Man, we are not that tight and even that’s a little much for someone I don’t know really well.
And I hate when people a) make assumptions about your personal life (“Did your boyfriend move up here with you?”) and b) state them in such a way that you’re practically required to give up the personal information to correct the assumption. I went with my usual vague and noncomittal routine (“No.”).
