S is for spent. As in TIRED (Thirtysomething Independent Radical Educated Drop-out). Or rather, S is for satisfaction. The new, so-called “socio-economic demographic”, apparently symbolises brand-aware high-achievers who “pro-tire” by leaving stressful jobs in law, finance and the media to arrange flowers, earn less money and clock up more satisfaction.”
S is for spiritual. As in Whosoever, a “queer-positive religious show” set to air in Detroit. Sort of a Mass for Shut-Ins for Gay People. (via Queer Day)
S is for sodapop. As in the new Dr. Pepper ad with Anastacia (and Cyndi Lauper, enh). *rowr*
S is for sincere. Letao writes painfully honesty of his battle with mental illness, serving in the Peace Corps in the Marshall Islands, and his daily triumphs and struggles. This guy is incredibly self-aware and a beautiful writer.
S is for stall. Public restroom stories are always funny. “Prairie dogging” cracks me up every time.
