Booties. But Not the Kind You’re Thinking Of.

I get the daily e-mail newsletter from Frommer’s where they highlight destinations and some of the threads on their message boards. One woman posted expressing displeasure with the unsanitary nature of removing one’s shoes and passing barefoot through security. The obvious answer is to wear socks which many people cheerfully pointed out.

    Last time I went, I wore sandals but brought socks along with me. I think I’d break out in hives if I wore socks with my sandals but, dammit, I wasn’t going to wear big shoes because I didn’t *need* big shoes on my trip. I think they should give out those surgical booties to alleviate the whole problem.

    Every time I have to go through security shoeless I want to flog that shoe bomb moron.
