Finally we have a beautiful day in which it is both warm and sunny. ‘Magine that.
My schedule has not been so jam packed since I had a job last. Lunch today with friends. Dinner today with other friends. Coffee early tomorrow to talk business. In between all that, hopefully catch up with some folks who I still need to call/email. And play tourist and take lots of pictures downtown.
Since the rain so rudely interrupted me on Saturday, I went back to Uptown yesterday. Saw Raising Victor Vargas at the Lagoon (it was pretty good). Took pictures. Headed towards Lake Calhoun. Took some more pictures but didn’t feel like taking an hour to walk all the way around it. I’m mad I forgot to bring my rollerblades.
I might could stay another day I suppose. Don doesn’t get back until Wednesday evening. That could change at any time, though. Best get out of here tomorrow afternoon as planned.
I realized that I’m pretty much over missing my friends. Not that I don’t miss them, but I don’t need their presence like I used to. I miss the idea of having all these folks around and having there always be someone available who will want to do whatever it is I’m feeling like doing on any given day. But I had most of yesterday to myself and I just enjoyed being around town and going to the places I like to go without having to be social about it. And then I went to Blockbuster and rented DVDs, fer chrissake. I’m getting more and more reclusive by the minute.
I’m off for yet another Chipotle meal. :9
