Other People’s Computers

I’m infinitely grateful that Don has a computer that I can use that’s, like, all fast and stuff. But damn I miss using my own computer. I thought at first I didn’t like WinXP just because I’m not used to it, but I really don’t like it. Popups up the wazoo. I miss Safari and its tabbed-browsing goodness, the relative absence of popups, and all my bookmarks.

I went to my friendly neighborhood Dunn Bros. for free (though a tad slow) wireless access which worked fine until some warning about IP addresses popped up which I ignored and then I couldn’t do anything online anymore. That is the biggest tease, to see that wireless signal, but still not be able to get online.

Think Don would be mad if I changed his screen resolution? This 800×600 has got to go.

You are enthralled, I know. Tear yourself away from here and go do something productive.

I’m off to nap so I’ll be refreshed and in good form for Power Hour at the Lonetree tonight ($1 taps and bottled brews, $2 well drinks and malt beverages, and $2 martinis downstairs in the Annex).
