What are you trying to say?

Suppose you’re participating in a group discussion. This group is known to jealously guard harmony amongst its members, though it is not opposed to hearing differing points of view. Suppose someone emails you on the side about the discussion, essentially continuing the conversation you were having in front of the group. What they have to say is not tangential to the subject, nor is the comment regarding someone else participating in the discussion. Does that automatically mean that the person who emailed you is pissed at you, or trying not to be?

This is purely hypothetical.

Not necessarily. It might just mean that they want to talk to you about the situation further but don’t want to promote non-harmony (un-harmony? disharmony?) within the group. Or they just want to make a snarky comment about someone else, LOL – which is, though I hate to say it, not unheard of in the particular group to which I’m assuming you’re referring.

And it wasn’t me, LOL. I’m sleeping on 400-thread count sheets tonight. But not really.

I have no idea what it means but you’ve certainly piqued my interest.

    I said it was hypothetical!
